About the Artist

Pabgha (pronounced as bah-kha) evolved from the Japanese word baka ("idiot" or "clumsy"). It was a nickname that my sister often called me. As time went by, the meaning of the nickname changed into a Hmong meaning. "Pab" means help and "gha" comes from a nickname what my elders calls me.

Hello! I'm Sheena Vang, the artist of Pabgha, love creating cute and colorful illustration whether it's original and/or fan-art. I began the interest of drawing from reading manga and watching movies from animation studios from Disney, Pixar, and Studio Ghibli. I created this website to have blogs about art-related, updates on personal projects or collaborations, and complete artworks.

As of now, I'm in a on-going journey to create illustrations about Hmong American experiences one day at a time. If you're interested in joining my journey by seeing my progress, please feel free to follow me here or on other social media platforms:
